3 Ethical Fall 2019 Outfits You Need To Try

Fall is upon us, which means the cutest outfits — layering, mixing and matching, and more outfit creativity is upon us! See below for trendy ethical outfits to try this fall from some of my favorite ethical brands.

  1. The Casual Blazer Look

from Olive Clothing. A versatile piece yet trendy piece. I love Olive Clothing for being transparent about how hard it is to maintain completely ethical suppliers. Read up on their corporate conscious statement that talks about it!

If this is out of stock, don’t fret. Most Olive Clothing items do go out of stock, but if you put in your email, you’ll be notified once again it is back in stock — and they usually stock items again in a week or two.

$158.

A handmade tee made out of high-quality sustainable and recycled fabrics from Mahi Chic, a vendor on Urbankissed.

35 £.

A classic mini-skirt from Everlane, which although I try to avoid because I think it’s iffy on transparency, I hear its denim is pretty sustainable (for being denim).

$58.

Veja.jpg

Veja sneakers, which I’m sure you’ve heard of by now, from Amour Vert, a sustainable fashion company with classic designs. These shoes are made of natural rubber, recycled polyester, corn waste, and some synthetic materials (not perfect, but it’s definitely much better than the standard!)

$140.

2. The Chic Milk Maid, But Fall

One of my favorite fall pieces so far including the boots below. I love the open back, which I think is just so perfect for fall. Once again, from Olive Clothing. 40% Alpaca, 30% Acrylic, and 27% Polyamide.

$109.

I love Friday by JW PEI because it’s affordable and chic, although not as completely sustainable as I’d like. Lining made out of 100% recycled plastic and the major material is made out of vegan leather.

$89. ($39 from Labor Day Sale).

My last Olive Clothing piece, I swear! I just can’t get enough of how transparent they are — so in line with what I think is being conscious and transparent — to admit your imperfections but still aim to do better.

$72. (On sale for $48).

From Collection & Co, my new favorite ethical shoe company. The sole is made of a thermoplastic rubber that is recyclable while the upper and lining are made out of a faux material.

135 £.

3. The Wear-To-Work If Your Work Lets You

I went to the Mejuri x NYFW event this past weekend and fell more in love with their pieces. Minimal, reasonably priced for fine jewelry, and definitely pieces that receive praise. Handcrafted and responsible production.

I have to warn that these may not be completely sustainable if you read the materials, but the upper is made of faux leather and organic cotton. They also were made from cruelty-free materials and non-animal glues.

90£. (Currently on sale for 60 £).
