where do you get your gut health knowledge from /
Who is GRANDMASTER LIM?
I never claim I’m an expert in gut health and what I say is never medical advice, just personal anecdotes. In May 2021, I realized that I wasn’t being kind to my gut, and those effects were manifesting through my skin, energy levels, constipation, bloating, and more. I went to an East Asian doctor who I’ve known since middle school named Grandmaster Lim, who is an expert in East Asian wellness. I rely on his ancient Goguryeo historical knowledge that has been passed down for centuries. I have a huge respect for these practices and I’m always humbled by how a civilization was able to learn so much about human health that western medicine sometimes can’t explain. In tandem, we can learn a lot about our bodies and have healthier, more grounded attitudes towards food, nutrition, wellness, fitness and life. If that level of respect is not your attitude, then this is not the space for you.
CAN I MEET GRANDMASTER LIM?
Currently, he’s not accepting new students and usually teaches wellness through kung fu (Long Chun) and fitness. He teaches you about your own body as you progress throughout your training, which is how I was able to learn about my poor gut health. But who knows! He may be open to something new in the future and once he is, I will keep you all updated.
WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR GROCERIES?
I usually get my groceries from my local Hmart, which is a Korean grocery store. I know not everyone has access to Asian groceries, so sometimes online groceries like Instacart, Weee!, Amazon, or Umami Cart can be alternatives.
