Gochujang-Marinated Spicy Pork Ribs

I Recently Made This Over A Fire…

… because one of the things that we’ve been doing after I’ve been clearing out parts of my land is use the scraps of some of the wood for a bonfire. We fire-roast meat and roast marshmallows sometimes and it’s been a cool experience! The fire was too strong this time so we grilled a bit and pan-fried it later. Here is the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 6 pounds of pork spareribs

  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce

  • Thin slice of ginger

  • 3/4 of a medium-sized onion

  • 7 cloves of garlic

  • 3 pieces of pineapple

  • half a scallion

  • 1 cup of coke

  • 2 tablespoons of gochujang

  • 2 tablespoons of honey

Directions:

  1. Cut the pork into ribs and slice off any fat

  2. Rinse the pork 3-4 times and strain while you make the marinade

  3. Cut x’s into the pork ribs to let the marinade soak in better.

  4. Blend ginger, onion, garlic, pineapple, scallion, and coke together and put in a large bowl

  5. Add gochujang and honey. Mix well.

  6. Marinate the pork with the gochujang marinade for a couple of hours.

  7. Cook and enjoy!
