This Honey Mask Helped Get Rid Of My Hyperpigmentation

Honey Has Been Used For Centuries…

not yet mixed

… to heal skin wounds or for gut issues. Ancient civilizations in East Asia, India, Egypt, Greece, the Middle East, and Rome used honey for these various issues.

This honey mask recipe was given to me by Grandmaster Lim who has tested using honey on his own skin and others and found it to be super effective. I use it as an overnight mask, and when I wake up, I wash it all off with cold water and I wake up to the most clean, dewy skin. I notice:

  • visibly reduced bumps

  • visibly lighter hyperpigmentation (aka less red acne scars from having no self-control to not pop my pimples)

  • more even skin texture

  • dewy skin

Ingredients/Materials:

Honey I used

  • 1/3 cup of honey

  • 1 tablespoon of Vitamin E oil (this one is my favorite — not affiliate link)

  • 1/3 cup of water

  • Dried sheet mask (optional — affiliate link)

Directions:

  • Add honey, Vitamin E oil, and water to a cup

  • Mix thoroughly

  • Add directly onto skin and wait 20 minutes, or leave on as an overnight mask. Wash with cold water.

    • OR: Soak a dried sheet mask in the honey and leave on skin for 15-20 minutes. Take off and wash right away with cold water, or leave residue on as an overnight mask and wash with cold water when you wake up.

FAQs:

Q: How long does this last?
A: Around 30 days in the fridge, or 5 days out of the fridge. If you keep it in the fridge and are going to use a dried sheet mask, then leave out 40 minutes before you put it on so it can reach closer to room temperature so that it’s easier for the dried sheet mask to soak up the mask.

Before (left) and After (right) — maybe around 1-2 weeks of use. Noticed less hyperpigmentation

Let me know in the comments how this worked for you! This has been my favorite step in my night-time routine. I love drinking my prescribed natural tea before bed, and lately, I’ve been reading a book called “Tastes Like War” to try to sleep earlier. (Because deep sleep is also super necessary for wellness).
